This Autumn Day - a Constanza
The chilly north winds now abound
as Summer says her last goodbye
and takes leave with a quiet sigh.
Whistling through trees, melodic sound.
Canadian geese shape vee form,
headed south to try to stay warm.
As Autumn leaves fall to the ground
swirling, twirling in a slow dance.
To show off, this is now their chance.
Red and gold blanket, 'neath trees found.
Coloured array covers the green,
Summer's blossoms no longer seen.
Raked into a colourful mound
for children to jump in and play.
Enjoy to the fullest this day.
