Thinking of You

Sitting with someone, a warm, open fire. Someone else adds a fresh log or two. I watch sparks climbing fire's golden spire, more lovely when once I watched with you. Star-crusted sky, moon a silken sphere; tears fill my eyes...I wish you were here

Lovely poem, somewhat sad as that special person wasn't there to share it with you. Well written. Blessing ~ Debra

Thanks, Michelle. My oldest son used to have bonfires, but he moved to the mountains--too many trees that might catch a spark.

I'm sorry she lost her mother. I lost mine, too, when I was two. It's hard.

Thank you, Swetha, for your lovely comments. I think you're referring to my garden poem. I have done the same thing. :)
