Things Will Be Better
I stood in the snow frozen park
Leaned against a tree, not feeling too well
Beneath skies filled with gray clouds
I looked between the birch trees
And I saw the birds flying
I heard them singing in the stillness
Then I closed my eyes and imagined,
Their happy chirping songs were for me
And in this moment, everything was ok
As I returned, I saw what autumn left behind
Pinecones, leaves and acorns frozen in ice
I saw a boat parked in a yard nearby
As my mind thought about summer again
Then, everything will be better too
