Things Will Be Better

I stood in the snow frozen park Leaned against a tree, not feeling too well Beneath skies filled with gray clouds I looked between the birch trees And I saw the birds flying I heard them singing in the stillness Then I closed my eyes and imagined, Their happy chirping songs were for me And in this moment, everything was ok As I returned, I saw what autumn left behind Pinecones, leaves and acorns frozen in ice I saw a boat parked in a yard nearby As my mind thought about summer again Then, everything will be better too Heidi Sands 1/14/20

That is strange for me to hear, because I thought they are worse. Many are rushed lately, etc and much going on. Thank you so much WW. I appreciate the FAV too :)

There is always cheer to be found from animals who brave the cold. Winter is beautiful but the harshest season for many. Very nice Heidi. xxoo

The winter birds are reminders that other flocks will fill the skies come spring. (Two herons were parading down my street yesterday:) Winter is hard for a lot of people, so spring is celebrated enthusiastically. Hope your area warms up, Heidi. Enjoyed your descriptive verse! Hugs, Carolyn

That is nice to see the herons like you did Carolyn. We are actually in a mild temperature spell right now, but still with ice and snow. Although a lot of 'gray'. I appreciate your visit and kind comment! hugs :)

Everyday is a new challenge and when one of those days turns out to be less than we expected...there is always tomorrow. Things always seem to get better Heidi. Loved your poem.

When your mind thinks about summer, you naturally feel even happier and the chirping songs seem to get more delightful. Thank you for this poem which made me smile.
