There's No One But You

There's no one but you I see that you... have a new life... and that, you don't need me... and I... just don't know why. I know that you've... built a ...whole new world, and that... that's where you live now... no longer ...my girl. How did this change, ever ...come about? that your... independence... is what... matters now. I don't know what to say, except that... I'm dumbfounded... I never saw this coming... thought our love, was well grounded. Bridge 1 I thought that if you saw me... that you would change your mind... we keep dancing on our own... and the drum beats out of time. Chorus I still care, and I know that... there's...no one but you... I searched the whole world over... and I...I found you I'm so lonely, without your love and all I keep thinking about... are the promises we said they keep running inside my head... yeah, all the words we said, they keep running inside my head. I think back to the day... when you promised to be mine... to love and to care for me... until the end of time. I swore the same thing, before God and man... and now... I sit here alone, please, help me understand. Chorus I still care, and I know that... there's...no one but you... I searched the whole world over... and I...I found you I'm so lonely, without your love and all I keep thinking about... all the promises we said, they keep running... inside my head... yeah, all the words we said, they, keep running inside my head. bridge 2 When our love ends, I will only pretend... that I don't need you, and that we are through So life will go on, but I know from now on... that.......I'm... lost... without you.... A really sad song that pulls me down, John, life can get cruel sometimes and we don't understand everything, but keep your faith shining as you always have, and I am sure God will answer our prayers in His time:) P.S. This is so sad John, especially as I know what it is about... You don't deserve this, you are such a wonderful man, how sad circumstance can be in life... You wrote a sad song that pulls at the strings of the heart...

You write of heartbreak and sadness in poetry that many people can relate to. This stanza in particular is so so true and these break ups come as a complete surprise "I don't know what to say, except that...
