There Is Only Winning and Learning

“THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS WINNING OR LOSING. THERE IS ONLY WINNING OR LEARNING.” Thank you Anna Lund, for allowing me to use your words to weave this lyric! *** You never learned to live your life And never learned the art to thrive You keep on stumbling You keep on learning Your voice is weak, your words are strong You are impatient, it takes so long But you keep on trying You keep on trying The thought that you will lose so hard Will never win, remain unscarred Still keep on trying You keep on learning Want angel wings instead of chair Want your children all be there You keep on fighting You keep on winning Because that’s what you do in life You don’t just try it, no you dive And keep on learning You keep on learning You win, you stumble and you fall And stand again, stand really tall There is no losing You keep on learning. *** April 14, 2017 Copyright © Darren White

Nice work Darren my friend. It's not the winning or the loosing that counts - it the way the game is played. So called failures are actually a success - at least that's what we feel in our family. Every one of them is a learning curve taking us to the next success. Well written and a big 7

Thank you Maria, also for the 7!! It's fighting for everything that you learn, everything you gain.

Hello Darren. I found this moving and so filled with heart and soul. I love the inspiration and positiveness of it all. I very much admired your expression/repetition and its execution. Wonderful in its entirety. Honestly.

Yes! It's funny that when you set your mind to being positive, it really works for some reason :)

Darren, I heard your heart beat in this message; the chair won't keep you from trying, stumbling, learning; that's what life is all about. Cherish the journey . . . dive in. A soaring 7 from me:) Amitiés, libellules

I'm trying to think of what band this would be the perfect lyric for - it's on the tip of my tongue and it's stuck. It'll come to me. Very true words said very poetically AND happily. Excellent (and way beyond merely decent). Coldplay is who I was thinking of. I can see little Chris Martin sitting at his piano singing this beautifully- I'd even, for that moment, forgive them for being nothing but a Radiohead ripoff

Hehe, that's very true! Let's find a decent band and then invite them to write music to my lyric :) Thanks for the comment, Phillip!
