I am a speck in the universe and not that important really a dot in the now where winds blow like violins in my earthly realm I see no future for this universe as the atmosphere is decaying and pungent for it seems the end is near- toxic rain is falling- the icebergs are melting the stars stir with an ancient pain . . . the moon senses the doom a fatal future wings its way across all the oceans and seas like a bird of prey- the garbage is floating- the fish are dying the forests are burning . . . creatures we love are endangered and I am watching, helpless to stop the universe from crashing the flooding has begun- soon heat will be too hot for survival on Earth _____________________ July 1, 2019 Poetry/Free Verse/there is only now Copyright Protected, ID 116-422-02 All Rights Reserved. Honey, let's share down about the igornant vs. the earth - have you read my Hiaburn, "Careless Tosses" (current page)? The ignorant don't realize everything they value is a gift from the earth - move the h in earth to the front and know it is God's heart (to me). CayCay

CayCay, thanks for visiting, yes my poem is a bit of a downer I guess, will probably not place because it is not beautiful, but it is reality as I see it happening only the blind cannot see it ~

Caren, thanks for the visit and compliment, yes the warnings are all around us, they just found another dead whale off the coast of Canada that had died from eating garbage like plastic bags and bottles and such ~
