There Is a Star With My Name On It

On this ebony canvas of the dark night sky,
There is a shining star with my name on it
One that has led me throughout my life
Beaming with hope, wrapping rays in a bow
Around my fragile heart and soul inside of me
Giving me direction of a will beyond my own
Giving me strength not to lose sight or be blinded
This star with my name on it, no-one can see
But on wings of angels, it has certainly carried me
In this quiet night I sit, observe, remember and know
This star reflects the deepest truth inside of me
As it reaches in the well of everything I’m meant to be
