There Is a Line In Heaven

There’s a line in heaven today Each child holding hands the teacher way Saint Peter has made his list And with each one he passes with a kiss It’s hard for the Saints not to cry As each child through the gates passes by And there are tears shed by all this day For the innocents lost by a gun today And as the gates are closed at line’s end The children gather with love we send For today we weep for the lost And wonder again at the cost. © Paul Warren Poetry

Wow Paul! What a simple, yet deep poem on such a tragic subject. Poignant!
