That is heartbreakingly sad. but, I'd like to think, anyway, that a piece of their life, heart and soul still resides within the upturned soil, feeding the earth for new growth. love, Kristin

Sad, the true history of a place is what gives that place life and its culture yet so few truly know it. I grew up here in this same town that I live in today, and much of the beauty and life has faded to a bacground of new growth and children that will never know the life or the land the way it once was. Families knew one another and friends remained close... now, we are strangers and the wide open spaces... Gone! Great write Brian, gets the reader thinking and remembering. Smiles from Lolita

Rather sad, but true...I just met someone from the small town where I was raised, and we talked about the area, if any of the old farms and ranches were still there....she didn't know that some of those streets and places were named after people my parents knew way back when, who are no longer there. It made me sad to think that people live there, and don't know the history. ~ Carrie

Yes, this has somehow happened. I don't really understand why. Interesting to think about. Love, Shar
