Their Voices

As I lay in bed those hot humid nights, I'd hear my sisters whispering and laughing, but quietly; otherwise, Dad would yell up the stairs at us: "BE QUIET, girls!" On and on we went till we grew tired. How I miss their voices! Dec. 5, 2018 for the voices Contest of Silent One

Oh, yes, I do remember those times. But it was a mother's voice, and we did not quiet until we heard angry footsteps on the stairs. Nicely done indeed.

Lovely, Andrea. I miss hearing my sister's voice each day in youth too, even when she was just arguing with Mom. The special bond between siblings shines in your etheree, my friend, and I'm sure Silent One will enjoy this entry. Sending winning wishes your way! Hugs, Carolyn
