Their Voices
As
I lay
in bed those
hot humid nights,
I'd hear my sisters
whispering and laughing,
but quietly; otherwise,
Dad would yell up the stairs at us:
"BE QUIET, girls!" On and on we went
till we grew tired. How I miss their voices!
