Their Names

how their names
haunt her

years gone by
how their names
haunt her

lifetime friends
she was meant to have
how their names
haunt her

had she not turned her back

We all have ghosts of the past, good and bad. it is part of life. I try to remember they may be my ghost but I'm also theirs. Fate has a fickle finger

I think this is a darling poem, and it probably applies to many. I lost track of three terrific childhood friends, and we got back together on social media, and began staying with each other. It was like we turned into instant 4th graders again, like no time had happened at all.
