Notes About The Poem

The Zionist Kangaroo

Hopping along, he came
right up to my door.
Knock, knock, knock, knock—
rude knocks, I could tell for sure.

“Hello? Can I help you?”

“Yes, you can. Get the hell out of my house.
This is my house.”

“But you are a kangaroo—how, oh how
can this be your house?”

“We used to live in the north of Canada,” he replied.
“This is our native land.
Our Snowman God promised us this land
three thousand years ago.”

“Are you kidding me?” I said.

“Apparently not…”

He punched me in the face,
stomped all over my children,
beheaded my wife and started
wearing her clothes.

Stunned, I screamed, “Stop!
Get the hell out!”

He replied I was a terrorist ba*tard
and anti-snowmitic.

He shot me.

My last vision
was IDF kangaroos
slaughtering polar bears.

Arthur, it's clear that right wing groups in Israel want to take the entire country for themselves. The brutality of the Israeli military was and is quite sickening. I have always maintained that the differences that exist could be settled through negotiations and diplomacy....that is something very difficult, but it can happen when we act appropriately and enlist the world to help us. It doesn't happen when people want it all for themselves only. Sad and disgusting.

The abiding conflict that caused more than harm especially to children. Humanity has genetated. only a few who are still striving and struggling to issue rules against Israel. Your devotion and vocation, Arthur as a humanitarian, an activist, a poet whose endeavours and sharp word shakes minds and awakes hearts and raises loud many a voice with a strong belief and solid conviction on Palestinian cause. Hoping one day Palestinians relish their rights..God bless. My deepest regards and blessings.
