Pretty freesias in my garden oh what a stunning sight, their scent is so alluring with petals of pure white But glancing at my diary it’s autumn and not spring, I wonder if their appearance is down to global warming I’ve got freesias in flower they may look stunning but it’s totally the wrong time for them to be in bloom as they usually flower in my garden in spring 10/19/18

Hi Jan, our weather is getting strange. We had warnings about the water up our way and that is not a usual thing. An excellent little poem Jan. Beautiful freesia blooms. One finds peace in the beauty of nature. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs....Mike. XX

Thanks Mike, I hope it goes back to normal next year and I get the spring flowers at the right time - we had a daffodil blooming on Christmas day it's been most bizarre and quite worrying to be honest:-( hugs Jan xx

You never really know … In March 2011, Chicago had eight 80+ degree (Fahrenheit) days in March. Unprecedented! We were all giddy, although a bit concerned that the summer would be a scorcher. … Well, the summer was cooler than usual, and most of our Marches since have featured at least one or two big snowfalls. C'est la vie! ~ Gershon

We have had such unusual weather this year Gershon, I never expected we would have a hosepipe ban, its only recently been lifted. Hugs Jan xx

You call a glasshouse a greenhouse? Trump assures us Climate Change is fake news and removed funding for any such research which might prove him wrong, so Trump may censure your global warning even before he gets around to burning books and Jews. Aloha! Rico

Warnings, they could be. There are so many peculiar things happening recently that it seems change is on the way. It's a lovely flower, highlighted in an equally lovely write.

The weather has been so unusual Lin, lots of sunshine, no rain and a hosepipe ban which we were told would never happen here. Now its really quite warm for the time of year and I guess the plants are confused:-( I am loving the scent when I'm in the garden but know I shouldn't be able to smell it in October!:-( hugs jan xx

Though flowers can bloom year round in Florida, I do recall seeing a crocus bloom in winter in NJ. Your well-penned rhyme touches on a timely topic, Jan. You give us food for thought. Hugs, Carolyn

I wonder if they will bloom again in spring! It's a little disconcerting to see them but it may make me spend more time outdoors as their scent is so beautiful and I don't cut them and bring them into the house:-) hugs Jan xx

Yeah that's unsettling. I hope they're just adapting to the seasons offerings and will overwinter for you. Apt and potent poem, lovely done. xomo

Thanks Mo, I adore freesias and their scent is breath taking but I'm not used to seeing them at this time of the year when I'm working in my greenhouse:-( Hugs Jan xx
