The Worst of All Fears

A young girl all alone
gets kidnapped, tortured, raped, chained up, and then in tears,
on floor thrown.

She cannot flee.
Suffering the worst of all fears
is she.

She’s numb.
A buzzsaw nears . . .
Hummmm

A young girl all alone
suffering the worst of all fears . . .
Hummmm

This powerful poem makes me feel and cringe engaging all my senses. The sound of the saw. The mental fear and the very smell of it. Great ideas in this and as scary and painful it is we need awareness which you provide.

Terrible that your words are true too many times a year all over the world, Andrea. Thanks for the reminder, so people will be more aware of what's going on in our world these days. Have a great week, my friend. Bill

Indeed! Horrible. Not the world I knew when growing up -- Bandstand and Jazz. Don't know how to restore sanity. No idea. Blessings my friend.
