This poem identifies how sadism and insanity exists in, as the title suggests, the world we live in. It reveals that while someone may not know anything other than the evil deeds they commit, they may still question others with the same goals as themselves. It also distinguishes the fear of things not known and the striving for happiness with disregard for the cost. The morale here is that everyone, no matter how sick or evil, has emotions.
