The Word That Overcomes the Distance
Let there be light!
The light is bright,
Shining upon a barren world.
Then life appears in all its forms.
Creation abundant, full of goodness and order from the very beginning.
In His image, man was created.
For His glory we exist,
Pure and innocent in the garden.
Unfortunately, that purity was tainted by one bite.
Taken advantage of for the willingness to be like the Father.
Assuming everything in the garden to be holy for our good,
Humanity failed to realize the prince of lies had snuck in to destroy.
This act brought forth discord and distance between creator and created.
Separation entered the world, along with sorrow and the need for restoration.
Fortunately there is good news.
This good news was already in place before the fall of men.
The Word was there from the start, created with the Word by the Word.
He was crucified for the redemption of the creation.
Unselfishly sacrificed, He became the conduit and the way to the Father in His name.
Through this way the great distance is bridged once more.
Through this sacrifice forgiveness is offered to all who turn back.
Hope returns to the fallen, and light shines again in the heart.
By faith we walk in renewed relationship, giving glory back to the Creator.
This is the story of love that overcomes the fall, inviting every soul to return home.
