The Witnesses
We saw it, in the broad daylight,
They slit a knife right through the abdomen,
Pulled it out and left it hanging,
We saw it all, we saw the crime, we saw it all,
But who will say it, rumor has it,
They work for the top man’s right hand man.
We were there, with all our eyes wide open,
When they raided our homes,
Burnt them to the ground, and God knows,
What happened to our sisters,
But who will say it, rumor has it,
They are the scary sacred secret government agents.
We saw it, all of us, we saw it,
But who will come out, to say it,
That we saw them bury the victim,
We heard it in the news today,
They framed him a terrorist!
Poor soul! But who will say it.
We know them,
We know who they work for,
We know them, they are in our neighborhood,
We know what they do,
But who will say it,
They have connections to the top.
May be someday, they will pay, God knows.
