The Will to Live
The will to live is of the spirit within
the wish to die, of the flesh without
Lines in the sand, daily drawn
the battle 24/7 fought
Not a struggle of ‘good versus evil’
or ‘black versus white’
Not of light versus darkness
nor of ‘wrong versus right’
For while those all play a significant part
~ it’s truly a matter of the innermost heart
