The White Trellis
There in my garden on a white trellis
verdantly climbs a honeysuckle vine,
blossoms vivacious now are quite zealous,
beguiling flora will hummingbirds find.
Verdantly climbs a honeysuckle vine
up the white trellis that's steady and sure,
beguiling flora will hummingbirds find,
tangerine flowers with nectar allure.
Up the white trellis that's steady and sure
sweet petals curl back in flirtatious drapes,
tangerine flowers with nectar allure
fragrant and flaunting their tubular shapes.
Sweet petals curl back in flirtatious drapes,
blossoms vivacious now are quite zealous,
fragrant and flaunting their tubular shapes
there in my garden on a white trellis.
