A bit or rough poetry contest for Dilly Dally..  The aim was to post an unedited poem and write about something we feel and see... So I googled an image of a crying woman and got this... Then the poem was created looking at this image... It is 100% raw poetry.

The Weeping Woman - Picasso

This poem is based on the painting 'Weeping Woman' by Picasso In fragments of fate, timeless tears seem invisible, but there is profoundness in sorrow, a beauty in the vulnerability - there is an art to expression. As colours collide upon a canvas, it reminds me of a black and white world, where I was taught to be a 'man.' But all I recall are my mothers cries. In times of pain, all I feel is your fears. When adversity calls, all I see is your struggles. I am a reflection of your love, a structure of your strength. When you are no more, maybe, I'll search for you among the stars. If moonlights should caress my face, I know it's you smiling down at me.

Shows how strong and mighty you've become. Like the saying a picture has a thousand words and not just everyone can bring out the reality, essence and metaphorical depth of a painted art. But you have done it so well. "I am a reflection of your love, a structure of your strength." Indeed. Congratulations Dear, Silent.

"a beauty in the vulnerability - " -- Absolutely! "As colours collide upon a canvas, it reminds me of a black and white world, where I was taught to be a 'man.' -- Fortunately I have been spared this. I feel your deep pain and suffering. Honest and beautifully vulnerable. You get a FAV!

Very moving. I like the finale. May you always feel that itself. Interested effecting on the painting. I don't like Picasso much. I'm a Van Gogh fan, but you did this painting proud.

Very beautiful, sensitive and loving, respectful write. I agree with IE...if a young woman is thinking of marrying, how a boy treats his mother is how he will treat his wife. If they don't get along -- forget it, regardless of whose fault it may be. You get a FAV from me for this one. Blessings.

To bind oneself to a painting and draw emotions expressed in your poetry and yet tethered to the artist's painting is a skill not many have...

Love the art that you chose! …fragments of fate…timeless tears (isn’t it something the way we retain some things in memory, looking at it from all sides, like a Picasso painting) …black and white world, taught to be a man… But all I recall are my mothers cries. Your verses can be examined many times and are heartfelt, Silent!

Iv always thought that picasso was interesting and his paintings, were deeper than just colors and figures, perfection in flaws and otherwise he did portray through his artistic brushstrokes. I sometimes watch him paint, on YouTube!he was ridiculed and criticised for his unconventional styles so I kind of understand him, and about your poem, they say always observe how a man treats their mother, would show one if they are good enough, your poem depicts your love and respect for your mother. You must be a very loving soul! Bless the woman in your life, im sure you will treat her the same, and i love the ending! So beautiful! So touching! I hope my son would too feel the same when im gone. Oneday..: Best wishes
