Two forces always win - gravity and the grim reaper. In this case, both! Great write, and poignant in its nature/humanity parallel. Congrats, Wendy! ~ John

Thank you, John. I admit to it being purely on one level in my own mind though as I wrote it watching the last leaf fell from a willow tree. Great that you saw a deeper level though.

Thanks for reading and commenting,Jenish. It was inspired by seeing the final leaf fall from the willow tree outside my bedroom window.

Thank you for the honour, Silent One. I was looking out of the window as the remaining leaf twirled down from the willow tree recently which inspired me to write.
