The Wages of Sin.

The pastor at the podium..... bible in hand The congregation belt out ......Take a stand a soulful hymn, for Jesus. Trumpets blast....cymbals clash reverberating within one and all. The church shakes..threatening to fall .....what a noise the congregation makes shouting ,dancing, clapping hands hysteria increases...as all take a stand for Jesus. Amen one man shouts...falls to the ground writhing and crying a terrifying sound. A women next to him, hops around the aisle, humming sweet jesus..........come to me now others follow her cue...... taking a vow to serve Jesus forever more. Soon everyone is shouting, exhorting all from above To fill them with Jesus love. Another screams I see Jesus standing up above. Yes, Yes others chorus...I see Him now. I want to see him too..shouts another stepping over a crumpled man. Open my eyes , open my heart sweet Jesus to that wonderful sight. Children stare bewildered to see a parent prostrate filling them with fear.....a terrible state Yet another cries I'm moved by the spirit..... sweat drips from her brow..... foundation and eye shadow slip and with sweat ,run an erratic course down to trembling lips. All in praise to Jesus. Glory to Him. Tell me my friends... aren't we putting ouselves through a lot? Isn't it time we gave up on sin?
