The Voyage of Penance

The azure sea displays in seamless expanse
the perfect poise of unique aquatic serenity,
sparkles with the patina of the cerulean sky.
From the platinum fringe of drifting clouds
the silver sunrays entice the ancient mariner
to embark upon a new voyage of penance,
for he has left the seventh sea yet unsailed.
He leaves in quandary on the call of the sea,
the essence of his forlorn life on the shore,
and sets sail once again on the quaint ship,
from an antique quay of his safe anchorage.
The southern wind blows with balmy perfume,
placid soul vibrates with the quiver of the sail,
silently promising to take him to his new home.

Your verse is so lovely, especially like 'platinum fringe of drifting clouds' - so serene and hopeful, congratulations and thank you for entering my contest~
