The View From the Towers Clock

Listen to poem:
The View from the Towers Clock David J Walker At best A Guest is all we really are Mistaking the sound of thunder For the voice of God Odd That we should reclaim By name Ownership Over anything And everything Spring Brings dry winds Sends choking clouds of dust Lust Consumes the rest of us Times Inside the tower's clock Chimes Rewinds the spring Reminds us of mortality And anything And everything Ending in Empathy Apprehension Is often mistaken for a block Of redemption
