The Vicious Split
There is no way to separate these two-
They are fated to come together,
And they will only call the other Enemy.
Two parts of a whole,
Committed to their kill.
Your love can only tears us further apart;
For it is vicious and with sharpened claw.
The agony in the eyes to see the tender skin so desperately torn.
I am sorry for what I have done to you;
I am sorry that I could not stop.
Passing the hand slowly down and across my thigh,
I feel the destruction that you left behind.
I am left shamed by these scars
Displayed for everyone to see.
Take this battle from me, Lord
Keep my body far from my mind.
Lost in my desire for a new affection to comfort me
And the ecstasy I know must be in sight.
I took the suffering that was offered up to me
I bore it for so long and I always bore it with my head high.
These are secrets that will save you
When your back is against the wall
I may be pinned and the blood has begun to spill,
But no fear exists in me this time.
