The Value of Royalty
Having lived nearly three score and ten
these years have known of evidence royal
for all my days Queen Elizabeth II reigned
now passed to glory her majesty so loyal
Looking back on these memorable years
so much to be thankful and very glad
having watched the coronation on tv
great memories to recall when I was a lad
This royal reign brought stability upfront
despite many ups and downs through the years
the Queen was faithful to her high duty
a people's inspiration amidst our fears
The commonwealth increased in unity
drawing great strength from each other
so many both young and old so inspired
were constantly renewed to go even further
Her Majesty was a lady of faith
belief in God so personally true
here is evidence of the values of royalty
those that deny all this have no clue!
