The Unseen Tears

A gilded cage, this world we claim,
Where shadows dance and truth is lame.
A hollow echo, laughter rings,
While sorrow's dirge the heartstrings sings.
We chase the mirage, gold so bright,
Ignoring whispers of the night.
Each fleeting pleasure, dearly bought,
With pieces of the soul we've lost.
The masks we wear, a constant guise,
Concealing tears behind our eyes.
We build our castles on the sand,
Ignoring time's relentless hand.
The winds of change, they fiercely blow,
And all our fragile structures go.
We're left with shards of what we knew,
A bitter taste, a sky untrue.
But even in the deepest dark,
A tiny ember, a single spark.
A flicker of hope, refusing to die,
A whisper of truth, reaching for the sky.
So let us face this world's deceit,
With open hearts and steady feet.
For even in the face of pain,
A resilient spirit can still remain.
