The Universe Scent Me a Gift

When the wind blew this morning I smelt honeysuckle sweet
What a lovely gift sent to me
How did the scent come through closed windows?
So I opened the french doors and stood on my cedar patio
And then it just flowed and flowed right by my nose

This scent was therapeutic
So soothing
So relaxing
And comforting

Then I started wandering

Was this deja vu?
It was certainly a smell I knew

Then I realized
That I had soaked in a tub of honeydew bubble bath
Hours ago
And I started to laugh

I guess I’ll have to eat crow

Thank you BE Bailey for reading my poem. I seldom know how the end will end but it made me laugh too.
