The Union Jack
It has the crosses of Saints George, Patrick, and Andrew.
This rectangle cloth displays a triple hue.
She represents the United Kingdom with red, white, and blue.
It symbolizes the courage of a people tried and true.
This banner has made appearances all over the world.
In so many lands, she has been unfurled.
The flag has draped the coffins of monarchs and heroes.
It flies on the masts of ships, and into battle it goes.
We have seen this symbol waving since the year of 1801.
For many future generations, may she never be undone.
