The Union Jack

It has the crosses of Saints George, Patrick, and Andrew. This rectangle cloth displays a triple hue. She represents the United Kingdom with red, white, and blue. It symbolizes the courage of a people tried and true. This banner has made appearances all over the world. In so many lands, she has been unfurled. The flag has draped the coffins of monarchs and heroes. It flies on the masts of ships, and into battle it goes. We have seen this symbol waving since the year of 1801. For many future generations, may she never be undone. I thank wikipedia.org online encyclopedia for information I obtained to write this poem.

Robert great poem, if I could just say it is actually the Union Flag, Union jack is just a sort of nickname originating from the Royal Navy as Blue is one of their colours, Wiki, do tend to mis-inform at times I think..still like it...many thanks for the heads up on my typo..David
