The Ultimate Price

The Ultimate Price At seventeen I had to leave although you didn't know . You were so young , though I wanted to hit the road . I wasn't allowed to be near you , even to watch you grow . It hurts my heart to have missed out , so much was just not told . At nineteen ,in trouble I was and told to stay away . I wanted you to be a part of my life , because of my troubles I had to stay away. I lost out on knowing you , you knowing me . Just know I'm proud of who you have become . I've always loved you then ,now . I've Paid The Ultimate Price .
