The True Patriot's Laughter
The True Patriot’s laughter
When he opens his mouth to laugh
Displaying his precise dental order
He laughs like Angels in divine abode
Preparing to bring rainfall to the earth
When the patriot laughs in the morning
The clouds descend slowly and listen
Then open their pipes as Angels sing
In the morning all is cool, quiet and wet
The words of a patriot to the nation
Bring cool breeze to bored creatures
Leaves that listen sway with peace
Like tadpoles souls of men swim in joy
And when the patriot kicks the bucket
He does so with sweet silent laughter
Humans, animals, insects, trees, shadows
Mourn his departure and celebrate his life
