The Tidings of Fall
There a movement in the trees
The goings of an autumn breeze
Tickling leaves of red and gold
Making hot summer into winter cold
And in the air there goes a wisp
Of smoke riding on air so crisp
Of days to come this is a sign
Of seasons change and change in time
For heavy coats and fire bright
New stars to see up in the night
But at this time before the snows
It's falls turn now to put on a show
First one tree and then the next
A show so striking so complex
And looking up the sky so blue
But this is nothing compared to You
A glimpse of Heaven for us to see
A hint to us Your great beauty
But as for now we'll stand amazed
Of wondrous things that You have made
Winter's coming and summer's gone
And fall won't be here very long
Now out the window look alas
Night has come so very fast
Time to sleep but again we'll see
In the morn this great beauty
