The Things My Eyes Show

To pass by I hide my face I can’t let her see Everything that hurts me so And all that my eyes can be It’s my eyes that show so much It’s my eyes that talk the most So my eyes I hide To cover up The things I feel inside “Don’t hide your eyes,” My mother says, “They’re so beautiful to see Nothing can change The way you feel Nothing can take that away” “I know, you hope I can’t see The way you feel inside But I’m your mother I can help some way Everything can change” “Think about it.” She told me then But now I feel so proud I can look her in the eyes And show her All the things I feel inside
