The Things I Wouldn't Give
The things I Wouldn’t Give
The things I wouldn’t give for you to be here with me,
This beautiful autumn,
To fill the silence with your sweet, sweet voice,
Speaking over nothing that really matters,
All that does is that you’re with me,
The things I wouldn’t give to be in your arms,
This frozen winter,
No one here to warm my hands but you,
To share a mug of hot cocoa,
Chocolate stains your upper lip,
Flirtatious giggles all around,
Both of us under one blanket,
The things I wouldn’t give to hold your hands,
The following spring,
Even as the animals look for a mate,
You can watch the tulips grow with me,
With it, grows my love for you,
The things I wouldn’t give to gaze into your eyes,
When the summer finally comes,
The days so long, lazy, and lucid,
We can play ball, and go to the beach,
Build sand castles,
Our hands covered in sand,
Yet interlaced together,
And all that matters,
Is that I’m holding your hands,
And looking into your eyes,
The things I wouldn’t give
