Superb dear/ To avoid tear/ Soon near/ that one who is dear/ Talk with no fear/ Please be clear, Let that one hear/ When is very near/ Soon will disappear, Now very much here/ Leaving may interfere/ Agony may be severe/ Now talk dear, Pour in the ear, Or else agony every year? You are so so right Michael - we should just do that - I remember when my father was diagnosed with bronchial cancer and he was given 6 week to live but then the doctor had an idea to pump mustard gas used in the 1st WW into him AND he was in remission for a year but died 6 months later. whilst he was in hospital i paid no attention to family and friends but sat with my father holding his hand and telling him how much I loved him. Grret advice, Michael. Tears of regret has haunted many. You know what they say "If I coulda, shoulda, woulda" Definitely shoulda. Unfortunately and sadly, we never know when the last day will come for our loved ones. Great write! Charlie
