The Tears of Mother Rose

Sirens, sirens, that is all I hear why, oh why, did you have to drink the beer? Don't you know that drinking and driving kills? you have stayed out of the stills. Can you hear the cry? Those are the survivors of those that die. Shattered glass, the sound of crushed metal. Mother Rose has lost her petal. Dreams shattered and lost, who will pay the cost? the drunk cannot replace the lost. So Mother Rose ultimately has to pay the cost. Lethal combination, drink and driving. Never understood how you can kill someone with a knife drunk, get sentenced to life, kill someone drunk in a car, and get a couple of years.

I understand, I know people in my life personally that this has happened to. From both sides of that issue. But the person that ultimately has to pay to price, is the mother or the father, the children, and even the family and friends of the victims... and everyone has to pay the cost no matter which side of the one who did it. there are no winners only losers.
