The Tears of Mother Rose
Sirens, sirens, that is all I hear
why, oh why, did you have to drink the beer?
Don't you know that drinking and driving kills?
you have stayed out of the stills.
Can you hear the cry?
Those are the survivors of those that die.
Shattered glass, the sound of crushed metal.
Mother Rose has lost her petal.
Dreams shattered and lost,
who will pay the cost?
the drunk cannot replace the lost.
So Mother Rose ultimately has to pay the cost.
Sirens, sirens, that is all I hear
Why, oh why, did you have to drink that beer?
