The Tale of Two Presidents

The Tale of Two Presidents Oh, what a sight to see, The outgoing’s grace, humility! He welcomed the incoming with open arms, No grudge, no scorn, no petty harms. “Congratulations!” he did declare, A smooth transition? Oh, so fair. No bitterness, no spiteful frown, Just a handshake and a welcoming crown. But let’s rewind to years gone by, When the incoming was asked, "How do you fly?" He left with flair, in Air Force One, No call, no lunch—he was done. With golf simulators, he’d declare, “Let’s make America great, beware!” But when the time came to give way, He flew off, not a word to say. Yet here’s the outgoing, so calm, so kind, "Support? Of course, I’ll keep you in mind." No insults, no slams, no "You’re a joke!" Just promises wrapped in kindness, bespoke. Oh, the incoming—how hard it must have been, To see such class from where you've been. The outgoing, the bigger man, so true, While you left, like a child, feeling blue. But what’s this, dear reader, don’t you see? The outgoing's grace is as vast as the sea. While the incoming, oh incoming, with ego grand, Still can’t quite understand. Here's to outgoing, with poise so rare, And to the incoming—well, he’ll get there… somewhere.

Hmm, you mean the outgoing President who only a week ago was calling the incoming President a Hitler and a dictator and a Nazi and a fascist and a threat to democracy. Such grace and humility. After the way they treated old Joe I wouldn’t be surprised if he and Jill voted for Trump.
