The Tails of Susie and Mutt

Once upon a time, Susie squirrel
Saw an awkward, gray mouse named mutt
The initial attraction was
Because she thought he was a nut!

Little mouse Mutt, was a bit slow,
The butt of many a wise crack
Crawling around once for a week
With a "Kick me" sign on his back!

Mutt gave her an adoring look
She said, "Behind you is a cat!"
Then she scooted up an old oak tree
And so that was the end of that!

Our neighborhood is overrun with squirrels right now - lots of people feed them - I can't help but feel sorry for poor Mutt the mouse!

That's sweet, but of course he was just a "Fragment" of my warped imagination! I think he got away from the cat and lived happily ever after with a female of his own species under a cheese factory!!..................80)

I love that! We see all kinds of wild life through our glass door leading to the deck. Mostly down by the shed. I guess they are pests but the chipmunks sure are cute!
