Notes About The Poem

Author's Notes: "The Sweetest Starlight" is a co-authored write by Liam McDaid, Michael Clarke, and me. It's a spiritual tale of fantasy, hope, love, and eternal promise as reflected in a divine love relationship. It provides a special thematic twist to think about. Hence, the unique thing about this write is that the man in this poem (still in his "mortal coil") is actually involved mentally (think: "Dream State") with an ethereal woman who has moved on from the Earthly plane and is in Heaven's light. Henceforth, this man's ". . . true dream and [his] heart's delight." This poem in a short written space of time touches on some powerful thematic ideas. In the end, the universal emotion of "love" is at the base of everything. This write leaves room for each reader to draw his or her own conclusions about this unique divine love relationship. The Sweetest Starlight

The Sweetest Starlight

You are the sweetest starlight shining across the ocean so pure
Moonlighting and enchanting my dreams with warmth aglow,
Touching gently my heart and soul with your beauty and wonder;
If we were together—I would hold you so gently in my arms and I
Would forever kiss your adoring lips with a passionate goodnight.

Love is a faraway queen rising in the morning sunshine’s warm rays,
And your light glows brilliantly as the dewdrops glisten on my dreams
Of pure sweet surrender and kiss the very depth of my immortal soul;
You are the light of Heaven's dream of a rainbow's flight of angels
Arriving at Heaven’s gate and coming to me on a beam of silver light.

Mesmerized I am as I embrace you as the heart, soul, passion and
Desire of my life—I see you as my true dream and my heart’s delight;
Feeling palpably your wonderful caress as you ask me to kiss you,
And to place your ethereal lips upon my very own knowing that
My heart and soul are open now to your loving heavenly embrace.

Wow, Gary - this is soaring, inspiring. : ) Congratulations to you three. Great notes - they really add a lot. And who knows - as far as moving on from our earthly plane - there are many people with billions of Dollars each who don't want to die...

Hello Doug, Your comments are indeed most appreciated. I would only comment that no matter how many billions of dollars a person may have -- the end result of death as we all know it -- will visit these chosen few also. I'm very pleased that you enjoyed this co-write from me, Liam, and Mike. Best Always, Gary

The authors use superb imagery and gentle words to bring their feelings to the page and into our hearts. Their thoughts are truly poetically expressed. Love emerges from their words and we feel what they're saying as they emotionally effect the reader. Emile. #7

Dear One "D" -- Thanks from me and Liam and Mike with you most wonderful comments here. And for the 7 to each + FAV!! Our mutual thoughts on this actually came together rather quick. I know over time we've developed a certain special synergy in being able to craft some rather high quality co-writes. (The challenge, as you know, is finding the right tone and proper balance when you 2 or more people working on a co-written product.) Have a great week!! Thanks again!! Cheers, Gary

Anne-Lise Dear One!! Thanks for your wonderful words here and for the 7 + FAV. (I will let Liam and Mike know.) Liam may be commenting later. This write, I believe, turned out very well. Love is always an unending topic to write about. Get Ready for October though -- it will be all dark poems because of Halloween. Of course, I might try to write something funny like: "Dracula Falls in Love." (HA HA) Cheers and Best, Gary

What a poetic brilliance! Incomparably romantic and mesmerizing. I have to congratulate all of you for such a splendid love poem. The bad thing will be that all ladies will fall in love with gentlemen and none will be left for the rest of . Ha-ha. A seven to each of you: Gary, Liam, Michael.
