The Swan
The Swan
As I mused on this sunshine day,
So cold, too cold I hear “The Swan,”
And I am taken on a lakeside dream,
Of swans dipping, swans wrapping,
Swans graceful, music afar.
Visions of young love,
Our love, your eyes of blue,
Of warm, sunny picnics,
You’re throwing balls with the boys,
And I watch you proudly,
With our little girl in hand.
As I mused on this sunshine day,
So cold, too cold I hear “The Swan.”
