The Swan
Perched upon the harbour wall on a dusky summer night
From the corner of my eye I spied a wonderous sight
A graceful pure white swan with four cygnets in a line
This image was so wonderful; it was simply divine
Young cygnets covered in their fine downy feathers
Will follow their mother through all types of weather
They glided past so peacefully I sat and stared in awe
I could watch these birds for hours and be wanting more
They floated up on the water and finally reached the shore
I watched them nestle up together then headed for my door
