The Study Said
The study of women eighteen to twenty-four
came up with the idea they would not want a date
with a man who brought a cat into his dating profile
But what if he had brought a dog? An elephant? A tiger? A bear?
Are these animal-hating women or just cat-haters?
How many women were studied? Were these women all five foot two?
Are they altitude-challenged? Are they intimidated by tall cats?
This study has curiously enticed my dendrites to conjure questions.
Were these women snake-handlers? Are they afraid cats would eat them?
Was it the color of cat that turned them off? The breed of cat?
Do these women not want to date these men because they have cats?
Maybe they already have nine.
Maybe one more would get them kicked out of their apartment’s lease.
Do these women fear cats? Have they been mauled or bitten by cats?
The more I look at this study the more questions I have.
