The Strong Belief of Senator Hiram Warren Johnson

Johnson believed that
war’s proponents use falsehood
to garner support . . .
this wise man died the same day
the atomic bomb got dropped

Top notch tanka, Andrea with a message of truth. One day, lying, deception, falsehood will vanish, replaced by the way with the truth and the life. Congratulations.

I have read comments that several men have made about the deadly bombs that were dropped on Japan. I also have read some comments made by people who were involved in getting the airplane up in the air and going. Some things can be used for good then be turned around and used for evil. I enjoyed reading this one. Thanks for your visit to my page. Sara

Yet, like the holocaust, we still have people today insisting the Atomic bomb is fake news, despite our world continuing to suffer the consequences . . . . .

Andrea, Strong belief still holds today. I like that odd name, 'Hiram' taken from the Bible even more now. -Richard
