The Storm

today it stormed inside the house while outside it was sunny and warm it thundered and rained so very hard it was no ordinary storm the winds they raged in every direction and made the rain fly and not fall some rain few upward through the wind in the cyclones many claws then the calm of the storm finally came i could see the sun so calm and new it was just like a day in spring had come except for the damages that storms do but suddenly again the tempest it raged the wind seemed to blow out the other end i'll hold on tight with all my strength and might knowing my storm is you

Hi John. I've sailed through a few storms like this. Always remember they do blow out and the new calm is wonderful. Thanks for your comment. I have just started writing so am feeling my way. I was using contests as an exercise. I will rein back. Thanks for the advice and for this great piece. Eamon

There is one who still the storms, my friend, and he is never asleep ... he may seem silent, but is never still when we call on him. Another great register of the human need, John. Bravo

Those wild storms...I've come to the conclusion that they're meant to make us stronger John. And repairs can be made to our spirit in time. Soup Mail Love, Audrey

The storm sometimes rages inside but by going through the storm we gain courage and perseverence . God Bless Phyl

When accommpanied by heavy winds, the rain does seem to blow in every direction, John. You created quite an image of this storm and then hit us with a touching, ironic twist at the end. Excellent work, dear friend, you should enter this in Thvia's "clever analogies" contest. Definitely one for my favorites. Much love, Carolyn

Smile ~ An eternity in Paradise compared unto this but a flicker amid time; albeit the valley of the shadow of death yet, what is death but a door &, there should be rejoicing, much more than not I do believe but, "I Do 'Love Your Soul John, 'Always,' & All You Love," John! ~ Smile, "Beautifully Profound & Soulful Poe;" Bye!:) ~

Smile ~ Here's a brotherly kiss of love my dear friend, coupled with a kind warm hug for, but another it somehow regretfully seems, storm amid yóur precious life ~ You know, I realize that "Your Treasures" are a man of "God" but, this being true then, why does "Your Brightness" seem to sometimes suffer so knowing that, "Your Place In Heaven" has been reserved ~ ....Cont:)

Courage, my friend. You have many friends here, John, as I am too. I've found writing poetry to be a great therapy, am surmising your posting today is helpful in that regard. It sure is a good one. To answer your question-yes, anger is not only a cry for love, but a form of fear...fear of loss, I would guess. Consult Hawkins' Map of Consciousness to see that he puts anger 2 levels up from fear & only 2 levels down from courage, so take heart. You're on your way toward love & ultimately, peace.
