The Storm

Storms raging about the boat, Filling too quick to stay afloat.... Then they saw Him drawing near, Shaken with cold, and then with fear. The horror raised within each heart, "A GHOST!!!" they cried out, near falling apart. His cheerful voice lifted above The tempest tossed sea, "Be of good courage, fear not, it is Me!" Peter asked Christ to bid Him to come, Out on the waters; for faith? He had some... Jesus agreed and bid Peter to walk. Then Peter stepped out, for he wasn't all 'talk' Eyes on the Lord, Peter walked on the sea, Distracted by storm, sunk... cried out... "Jesus! Save me!!" Jesus immediately reached out to save Peter from out of a watery grave. "You have little faith..." He said, lifting him out, As Peter stood dripping.... "Why did you doubt?" With this I'm reminded as dark storms Scream bleak... Burning rain falling, And coursing down cheeks, Grasping toward Jesus Who beckons us "Come" Having such little faith Asking? We'll receive some. Through crashing dark waves sinking faster, and faster Thunders of storm Can I yet hear my Master? Full sight of the stormy and dark Raging sea... Eyes lifted toward heaven, Lord Jesus Save me! From the depths of my heart As my spirit cried out... "I'm still at the helm child. Why did you doubt?" A comforting answer So quiet and still And then I find peace As I walk in His will

A beautiful faith filled poem dear B.J. When storms sweep past us and when we are about to drown, like Peter, if we can call out His name and ask for help, Jesus will gently answer... "Why fear my child? I am by your side." .How consoling it is to hear such a response. The story of Jesus and Peter is touchingly told.

This remines me that I need to trust in him to get me through those " I'm in deep" moments. Peter's short prayer and Jesus is quickly there to left him out. Thank you for the reminder and another great poem on faith! _ Anon Y'mous

A beautiful poem. No matter how crazy life gets Jesus is always with us. We just need to trust Him and give it all to him. Trust that He will help us through tough trials, which He always does :) Though sometimes we don't know He lets things happen, they happen for a reason. Just trust in Jesus! ~Anna Kaianah
