The Storm

Distant sounds
Of thunder
White clouds turn gray
Darkness moves in
Lightning strikes
As the storm begins
Wind and rain
Pouring down
Cleansing the pain
It washes away
Fresh
Renewed
Clean as can be
The storm it came
And set me free

The ending caught be by surprise - a welcome surprise...storms of life...storms in nature...maybe more similar than different.

Nice piece, Julia. Renewal after a storm, a welcome thought.

Nice piece Julia, indeed a storm can clean away many things as long as it's not you! Have a blessed weekend, Gordon
