No abode,
Told to move on,
Where to?
No offerings,
Blankets worn and frayed,
Cold stiff joints,
Frostbite?
Shoes threadbare,
Chilblains?
I gaze high,
The star glows,
My stomach groans hard,
I pack my meagre bag,
Then,
head for the stable

Concise, but bearing the entire agony, Mary and Joseph had ! The tedium of long miles of travel, their abject poverty, the lack of a place to rest and the birth pangs.... all summed up in utmost brevity in Yalto form. Great effort W.J. Into my FAVE
