The Spirit of Ecstasy
"The Spirit of Ecstasy"
In seven days
she is brought to life
She will last for eternity
never a wife
Keeper of Secrets
Wings to fly
Speed to burn
beating hearts under
blue eggshell sky
and stormy weather
bringer of dreams
purring along loudly
underneath her
he sings
metal heart pumping
ego and pride led
underneath his pistons whip
along wet roads wild and spent
Wings of Freedom
to break a man before he goes
with all sorts of fancies in his head
semblance of logic absent
hormone bred
Silver Lady on parade
taken to bed
he waits inside his racing frame
The door will open and close
she’s led away
He dreams he’s in control
Cheshire Cat grin
King for a Day
On his bonnet
she sits smiling, she knows
- she's got the wings -
eyes open wide
she let's him win
