Because there is night, pitch-black, obscuring
The delicate dreams of the faithful soul,
The one who believes, Jesus came to make us whole,
To cleanse the life of all its shadows, all its darkness,
All the murky doubts and fears, the dusky griefs
Who cause the spirit to bleed…
In the space between the stars, who’re there to relieve,
To bring peace and security, to awaken the dreams
And free the heart to see, just as the glitter falls from heaven,
Twinkling on the edges of a kiss, a hug, a sweetness,
Fulfilling the gentlest stirring of a prayer, the praises that come
Because when we find our way between the blackest black….
There comes a realization that, whatever sad we’ve met,
We can discover the joy of giving, the lessons for living,
In the space between the stars, where there is a fullness,
A feeling, grown by souls who ache to silence the storm,
Save those who believe in Him, the love who has come down,
To redeem those who agree… He is the greatest need,
He is the ultimate peace, He is the gift that sings… eternally.
The space between the stars isn’t empty, but full of wonder if you only believe
