Notwithstanding, our limited vision has potential. For once our eyes are opened, it's impossible to close them again. Whether we look through a microscope for knowledge existential, Or through a telescope for the understanding of things alien. We are surrounded by living things terrestrial and celestial. The magnitude is equal in a single drop of water, as in vast galaxies. In utter darkness, unseen, life and death wrestle… As in brilliant sunlight, observed, possible fallacies. Cup the air in your hands, peek inside for there's something to behold! Journey heavenward to find what lies in darkness between the stars. Search a blade of grass, discover the truths of old… Stroll across a pastel rainbow, following away so far. We must look through the eyes of the innocent child… Using the portions of our minds that close after twelve. Imagination kick-starts the exploration of the untamed, the wild. To find truth, to discover wisdom, into both light and darkness we must delve.

" . . . After twelve" ~ puberty is a gigantic biological transition and the mind [SPIRIT] is pressed irrevocably toward recognition of "Instinctive" values. The choices we make or conclusions we come to about what is good and what is evil are magnified to a degree that we discover mistakes made by the adults and force us to undertake that agency unto ourselves. You have a "Second Sight" which is the product of that internal psychological dialectic. You can call it the holy Spirit if you like, but it is not external to you. The existence of God is not predicated upon it. I hope I didn't ruin your day.

The ability to discern and apply the differences between good and evil is not biologically intrinsic but culturally derived: i e.; "Social". The "intellect" is the metaphorical harbor within which we gather these lessons from our elders. In an earlier response to one of my poems I attempted to describe Consciousness as: ". . . [a] personal acquiescence and adherence to a persistent and perpetuating reverie". Jesus called it: 'The World'. Morpheus called it: 'The Matrix". But - if the kingdom of God is within you, what is its nature? Understanding the biblical terms spirit and mind as synonymous answers that question. Being "Born Of The Spirit" baffled Nicodemus who understood it as a material phenomenon, but Jesus meant: THE MIND. God touches individuals and their response to this extraordinary event is to tell everyone they know ~ " . . . The wind blows where it will - you hear the sound of it but you don't know where it came from or where it's going . . .

Not at all, I am always willing to hear others ideas and beliefs. I respect that as i wish to be respected. That being said, I agree with you about not needing the Holy Spirit to mature cognitively and to understand right from wrong. That is something I believe God created in each of us, in our own spirit and soul. But we must come to the knowledge of this world with the faith of a child. Tysm for your input! All the best to you! I tend to hover between the infinitely large and infinitely small Crystol, and believe both sizes actually contain the same amount of everything, (The magnitude is equal in a single drop of water, as in vast galaxies) bridges this image perfectly, I think human consciousness is that very bridge that links both together, the paradox of (In utter darkness, unseen, life and death wrestle… As in brilliant sunlight, observed, possible fallacies) is another truth, An instinctive intelligent piece of poetry here, cheers David
